Has your pet acted strangely or noticeably worried before an earthquake? According to a survey conducted by the Associated Press 10-2010, as many as 40% of pet owners responded yes to this and other questions about their pet having a sixth sense. Some of the behaviors reported by pet owners as evidence included: barking persistently, trying to hide in a safe place, whining or crying, becoming hyperactive or erratic behavior. Another study conducted by The Journal of Zoology provided evidence of anticipatory behavior in toads several days before an earthquake. It might make sense to take note, the next time your furry friend exhibits behaviors that are distinctly abnormal for them and take note if something bad follows.
