Arroyo Burro Beach - Santa Barbara
Arroyo Burro Beach is a about five miles west of the central part of the city of Santa Barbara. It is the only beach that is legal for off leash use in the City of Santa Barbara and runs below the Douglas Family Preserve. It starts east of the slough at Arroyo Burro (Hendry's) Beach, and goes to the steps at Mesa Lane. The fallen eucalyptus trees are considered the eastern boundary. Parking is between Goldenwest Street and Seapoint Avenue. Parking passes are $1.50 per hour and the meters accept coins, cash and credit cards. From the parking lot at Arroyo Burro, walk to the beach, turn left, and cross the slough -- this will bring you to the off-leash legal area. Please be sure your dog is leashed in the parking lot and on the beach until you cross the slough. Hours 5am – 10pm.
Bolsa Chica Dog Beach - Huntington Beach
Dog Beach is a public beach open free of charge as the only beach where you may take your dog in Huntington Beach. It is located down a sloped hill north of the parking lots. Located at Towers 20, 22 and 24, Huntington Beach Dog Beach has its own clean up employees who clean up the beach seven days a week. They work in conjunction with work in conjunction with Lifeguards and Police Officers and request your help in picking up by utilizing one of the 60 dog bag dispensers between 9th Street and Seapoint Street. Hours 5am – 10pm
Rosie's Dog Beach - Long Beach
Rosie’s Dog Beach is home to a great off-leash dog beach in L.A. County, California. This 3-acre park is located at the waterfront between Roycroft and Argonne Avenues, a few blocks east of the Belmont Pier and Olympic pool. Parking is available along Ocean Boulevard or in the Bennett Avenue lot. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. Free parking is available at the beachfront lot at the end of Granada Avenue daily after 5:00 p.m. Only one dog per adult is permitted, and no aggressive dogs are allowed. Hours 6am – 8pm
